CineFLOOR Acoustic Floating Floor Range

We’ve orchestrated the acoustic isolation of over 200 cinemas worldwide using the CineFLOOR range.

Utilising over 60 years’ experience in acoustic isolation, Farrat have created CineFLOOR as the ultimate answer to the cinema market’s most demanding acoustic challenges.

As the first range of high-performance acoustic floating floors designed specifically for cinemas, CineFLOOR offers designers, buyers and clients a ‘simple-to-select’ acoustic isolation solution for auditoriums of all shapes and sizes.

CineFLOOR MAX

The ultimate isolation grade for a new generation of 4DX cinemas.

CineFLOOR MAX Render

CineFLOOR MAX Features:

  • ƒn @ Operating Load: 10 Hz
  • ƒn @ Dead Load: 13 Hz
  • Height: 215 mm
  • Weight: 3.7 kN/m2
  • Air Gap: 50 mm

Designed specifically for 4DX auditoria, CineFLOOR MAX incorporates high damping isolators to control and constrain vibration while still providing exceptionally high levels of sound insulation performance.

CineFLOOR PRO

Where optimal performance meets optimal price.

CineFLOOR PRO Render

CineFLOOR PRO Features:

  • ƒn @ Operating Load: 9 Hz
  • ƒn @ Dead Load: 11 Hz
  • Height: 165 mm
  • Weight: 2.5 kN/m2
  • Air Gap: 50 mm

Our most frequently specified grade of acoustic floating floor. CineFLOOR PRO suffers no compromises from low mass or high stiffness isolators to achieve the highest ratio of acoustic isolation
vs. price.

CineFLOOR LITE

Maximising sound insulation with minimal imposed load.

CineFLOOR LITE Render

CineFLOOR LITE Features:

  • ƒn @ Operating Load: 9 Hz
  • ƒn @ Dead Load: 17 Hz
  • Height: 110 mm
  • Weight: 0.5 kN/m2
  • Air Gap: 50 mm

When an existing structure cannot support the load of a heavyweight floating slab, CineFLOOR LITE utilises our very lowest dynamic stiffness isolators to extract the maximum low-frequency performance.

CineFLOOR NEO

Market-leading sound insulation for cost-constrained projects.

CineFLOOR NEO Render

CineFLOOR NEO Features:

  • ƒn @ Operating Load: 21 Hz
  • ƒn @ Dead Load: 27 Hz
  • Height: 130 mm
  • Weight: 0.3 kN/m2
  • Air Gap: 85 mm

CineFLOOR NEO is our 100% timber acoustic floating floor for projects where material supply and/or cost is significantly constrained. The ideal solution for smaller projects.

Choose from our four CineFLOOR Grades

From multiplex cinemas to boutique auditorium and private viewing rooms, CineFLOOR acoustic floating floors will keep sound constrained to its source so that you can create truly immersive auditory experiences.

However, we know from our experience that every cinema has a unique acoustic profile and that one size or system does not fit all.

So we designed four grades to reflect the most common variables:

  • auditorium size
  • shape, location
  • acoustic function
  • audience capacity
  • technical specification
  • budget
  • lead time

To identify which CineFLOOR grade of acoustic floating floor is right for your auditorium, use our suitability table opposite.

Farrat Total Acoustic Responsibility:
Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation & Inspection

Regardless of the CineFLOOR grade you choose, you’ll have the comfort of knowing that our expert engineers will be on hand to advise you every step of the way. We provide our customers with the best technical solutions to their engineering challenges and we always uphold client interest to make sure that the project is delivered successfully.

Design, Manufacture & Supply

Each CineFLOOR grade uses natural rubber isolators that are manufactured by Farrat in the UK, under an ISO 9001 compliant quality management system. All systems have been performance tested in UKAS and IPAC accredited laboratories.

The compounding and manufacture of our isolators is backed by over 60 years of Farrat research and development in elastomer science. The full range of Farrat Vibration Isolation Elastomers can be found here.

Special care has also been taken to consider build-ability, reliability and robustness in each design to ensure that the operator’s key interests are upheld, such as acoustic performance, longevity and lifecycle cost.

CineFLOOR designs do not require any ongoing maintenance and will last for the entire lifetime of a building. We are so confident of this that we offer performance warranties up to 25 years – the longest in the industry.

Global Logistics

CineFLOOR products have a 1 to 5-day lead time.

We hold stock in both the UK and the MENA regions, which are managed by our distribution partner Unigroup.

We also regularly export worldwide and have done for the last 60 years.

Installation & Inspection

All of our CineFLOOR systems are designed with ease of installation and follow-on trades in mind. Our team of engineers are on hand to offer advice relating to installation and we often provide site teams with installation training, followed by installation inspection.

We can deliver this both remotely and on-site, anywhere in the world.

Our fully trained installation partners include AcouStruct (UK), Unigroup (MENA) and our Farrat Team (Global).
