Anti vibration washers are used in conjunction with anti vibration pads where bolts are used to secure the connection. They allow free movement of the pad, ensure that the bolt does not transmit vibration across the connection and provide preloading to retain bolt tension when the pad compresses under imposed/dynamic loads.
