Technical Sales Engineers

As a Technical Sales Engineer at Farrat, you will use a combination of technical knowledge and sales skills to provide valuable support & advice on a range of products – helping to take innovative projects forwards across the globe.

You will act as a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and after-sales advice. A certain level of expertise is needed as you’ll assist colleagues with enquiries, bids and tenders (for both new and existing clients) from a technical perspective.

This is a fast moving technical role, where you will gain exposure to, learn from and liaise regularly with, teams across:

  • sales
  • engineering
  • production
  • purchasing
  • quality
  • research and development
  • senior company managers

Application Engineers

As an Application Engineer at Farrat, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to produce drawings & designs for some of the world’s most exciting and innovative construction projects.

You will be responsible for supporting both the sales team and the client, helping to deliver workable and compliant solutions for a range of applications including: industrial, structure borne vibration in building structures, and room acoustics / high performance sound insulation.

This role requires a consultative approach, as you will be providing technical guidance and at times will be working with Contractors and attending site when necessary.

Alongside supporting the existing customer, you will also seek new business opportunities and may be given the opportunity to contribute to technical reports to support tender applications.

You can expect to be active on a number of international projects and client accounts at any given time, where you will exceed expectations.

Administrators at Farrat provide both clerical and administrative support to various areas of the business, either as part of a team or individually. You will be involved with the coordination and implementation of office procedures and frequently have responsibility for specific projects and tasks.

Regardless of the specific area of the business you will be joining, this role involves both written and oral communication, word processing and typing, and requires relevant skills such as IT, organisational and presentation skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
