University Engineers aim to boost growth at Farrat

ioaAs featured in the January 2017 issue of Acoustic Bulletin magazine, released by the Institute of Acoustics, graduate engineers at the University of Salford are lending their expertise by developing, implementing and validating cutting edge methodology as a KTP Associate at Farrat this year.

Farrat is one of three businesses that will benefit from the part-funded Government / Innovate UK programme, which works as a three-way partnership between a business, a University and a recent graduate who is elected as a ‘KTP Associate’.

The selected Associate will work with Farrat and Professor Andy Moorhouse and Dr Andy Elliot of Salford’s Acoustics Research Group, to predict the vibro-acoustic response of buildings that incorporate vibration control; such as concert halls or apartments and buildings affected by train or underground noise.
